Area Information The Main Street Inn is in the center of Highlands' charming downtown business district. A diverse assortment of shops and restaurants are just a short walk away -- some of which hold the prestigious Wine Spectator Magazine Award of Excellence. The Village also offers a wide variety of cultural delights, including Chamber Music, Theater, and Gallery exhibits. There is a full calendar of events throughout the year. Main Street Inn will be happy to arrange your golf or dinner reservations... or a picnic lunch... a bouquet of flowers... or a bottle of wine for your room. Some of our guests arrive and never move their cars again until they leave! Others use the Inn as their regional headquarters, pursuing sightseeing, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing and all the other delightful outdoor activities the Blue Ridge Mountains and nearby Smokies have to offer. The Weather here is temperate year-round. Summers in our Mountains are much cooler, and winters far less harsh, than in the "lowlands" of the South, East and Midwest. (Summertime highs rarely exceed the 80's; overnight lows are generally in the 60's.)
Highlands Cove The championship designs of our Highlands nine and our Cove nine combine for a par 71 layout that will challenge you if you're among the best of players — and yet be a pleasure for those at every level. Views of the western North Carolina mountains are nothing short of inspiring.
